Our Mission

At Dancing Through the Storm, we believe that no one should have to face hardship alone.

Our non-profit organization is dedicated to driving meaningful change by leveraging wrap around services and expertise to support impactful initiatives. With a commitment to transparency and accountability, we work diligently to create a lasting difference within LA County. Dancing through the Storm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Dedicated to serve LA's most vulnerable U.S citizens, homeless population. We work to strengthen self-esteem, support mild mental health, and help individuals take meaningful steps toward long-term stability and independence. Help them to become a productive member of society. Mission is to give them basic life skills and resources they need to thrive and remain housed.

How We Help

  • We distribute hygiene kits, food, and essential items to individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship.

  • When funding and resources allow, we help individuals connect with temporary shelter options to ensure safety and stability.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can call 211 for La County for a list of resources and referrals.

  • Yes, DTTS accepts outreach referrals. If you know a location where there is a few DTTS Most Vulnerable categories, including self, or for a loved one, send an email apaugust@dancingthroughthestorm.org with location. Referrals will be checked out in the order received.

  • Yes DTTS will house each category with a program to follow based upon funding, eligibility and or referred shelter availability. Each shelter participant will be connected to an agency that provides permanent housing.

  • Most Vulnerable is defined by DTTS as Single parent with 2 or more kids; Senior Citizens; and Disabled individual U.S citizens.
